We’re inviting all Future Pirates to kick off Spring Break on the varsity field for an afternoon built around fundamentals, connection, and Pirate pride!
Campers will rotate through skill stations that lay the foundation for future championships; focusing on throwing, defense, and hitting, all led by this year’s softball team.
We believe the strongest programs are built by the strongest communities. This is an opportunity for our younger athletes to step onto the varsity field, learn alongside their role models, and envision their own future in a Pirate uniform.

Girls in the West Do It Best is a female-founded, female-forward training experience built for athletes who are done playing small and ready to level up. We’re bringing in coaches who have lived it, competed at the highest levels, and know exactly what it takes to dominate your position:

This camp is designed to introduce young athletes to softball in a fun, supportive, and encouraging environment.
Local high school coaches and players come together to help kids learn the basics of the game, build confidence, and experience what makes softball season special. Whether this is your athlete’s first time picking up a glove or they’re still learning the fundamentals, this camp is designed to meet them where they are.
Athletes will rotate through stations with different high school programs, learning age-appropriate skills while connecting with current players who love the game and want to give back. Camp wraps up with time for photos and autographs; helping young athletes leave inspired and excited to play!
Registration includes a camp shirt IF registered before March 1st.

Is this camp good for beginners?
Yes! This camp is intentionally designed for athletes who are new to softball or still learning the basics.
What if my athlete has never played before?
That’s perfectly okay. Many campers will be brand new. Coaches and players focus on teaching, encouraging, and helping each athlete feel comfortable and confident.
How are athletes grouped?
Campers are grouped by age and experience to ensure a positive and successful learning experience.
What should my athlete bring?
Glove (if they have one)
Bat/Helmet (we have extras!)
Water bottle
Athletic shoes or cleats
A great attitude and willingness to try
Is this a competitive camp?
No. This is a developmental, introductory camp focused on learning, fun, and building a love for the game.

These weekday clinics are open to all and designed to help athletes learn, grow, and grow the game.
To support players during the spring league season, we’re hosting three weekday softball skills clinics focused on hitting, throwing, and position-specific development. Each session reinforces fundamentals, builds confidence, and provides extra reps in a fun, supportive environment that helps athletes continue growing their love for the game.
All clinics are beginner-friendly and open to athletes of every experience level, with instruction tailored to meet players where they are.
Hitting Camp - 4/15
This session focuses on hitting fundamentals, confidence at the plate, and a strong learning mindset. Athletes will work through simple, repeatable movements while parents and coaches learn how to reinforce mechanics, mental approach, and positive self-talk during games and practices.
Throwing Camp - 4/22
This session introduces athletes, parents, and coaches to the fundamentals of proper throwing mechanics and arm care through simple drills, clear coaching cues, and take-home tools. Built for all skill levels, the focus is on accuracy, efficiency, confidence, and learning how to support healthy throwing development both on and off the field.
Position Camp - 4/29
This session introduces athletes, parents, and coaches to position-specific fundamentals for pitching, catching, infield, and outfield play through simple drills, clear coaching cues, and tailored instructions.
Registration is included for Northwest Futures Fastpitch League players (Futures athletes should register using the provided promo code at checkout).
FAQ – Weekday Skills Clinics
Who can attend?
These clinics are open to all youth athletes and coaches. All experience levels are welcome, from beginners to developing players.
What ages are appropriate?
Athletes ages 4 and up are welcome. Instruction is adjusted by age and experience to ensure a positive learning environment.
Do athletes need experience to participate?
No prior experience is required. Each session is designed to be beginner-friendly while still offering value to more experienced players.
What skills are covered?
Each clinic focuses on a specific area:
Hitting fundamentals
Throwing mechanics
Position-specific skills (pitching, catching, infield, and outfield)
Can parents and coaches attend?
Yes. Parents and coaches are encouraged to attend and participate, and will receive coaching cues and take-home drills to support athletes outside of the clinic.
What should athletes bring?
Athletes should bring a glove, water bottle, and any personal gear they normally use for practice. Cleats or athletic shoes are recommended.

Summer and softball go hand in hand, and there’s no better way to kick off summer break than with three days on the field doing what we love most.
Our Summer Camp is a high-energy, three-day experience designed to help athletes build confidence, strengthen fundamentals, and create lifelong connections. Campers will rotate through age-appropriate stations focused on defense, hitting, and base running! With plenty of reps, encouragement, and chances to win fun summer gear along the way.
Instruction is led by local high school and college athletes who are passionate about giving back and creating a positive, welcoming camp environment. Athletes are grouped by age and skill level to ensure everyone is challenged appropriately and has space to grow, together.
We’ll wrap up the week with a wiffle ball tournament on the final day, celebrating effort, teamwork, and the joy of playing the game.

Summer Camp is open to youth athletes of all experience levels. Whether your athlete is brand new to softball or continuing to build their skills, all are welcome. Ages 6+

Prospect Camp

Built for high school athletes who are serious about competing at the next level, this Prospect Camp creates a true evaluation environment alongside top talent from across the country.
Athletes will take the field in front of college coaches representing multiple levels of collegiate softball, with opportunities to showcase skill, athleticism, and game awareness in a competitive setting. This camp is designed for players ready to be seen, coached, and challenged.
High-level drills and stations will be led and executed by The Yard staff, with an emphasis on pace, intent, and preparation for the recruiting process.

Built for high school athletes who are serious about playing at the next level. This Prospect Camp creates a true evaluation environment in front of local and regional college coaches across multiple collegiate levels (Washington, Oregon, and Idaho).
Athletes will move through high-tempo drills and competitive stations led by The Yard staff, designed to showcase skill, athleticism, and game awareness. This camp is for players ready to be coached, challenged, and seen, with intention behind every rep.
