Date: Wednesday, April 8
Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Location: REC Park, Chehalis
Ages: 5 – 14
Experience Level: Beginner-friendly | All skill levels welcome
This camp is designed to introduce young athletes to softball in a fun, supportive, and encouraging environment.
Local high school coaches and players come together to help kids learn the basics of the game, build confidence, and experience what makes softball season special. Whether this is your athlete’s first time picking up a glove or they’re still learning the fundamentals, this camp is designed to meet them where they are.
Athletes will rotate through stations with different high school programs, learning age-appropriate skills while connecting with current players who love the game and want to give back. Camp wraps up with time for photos and autographs; helping young athletes leave inspired and excited to play!
Registration includes a camp shirt IF registered before March 1st.
Skills & Focus Areas
This camp focuses on introductory softball skills taught in a fun, low-pressure setting:
Throwing and catching basics
Learning how to use a glove
Hitting fundamentals and making contact
Simple infield and outfield movements
Base running basics
Teamwork, encouragement, and confidence
The goal is not to become elite; it’s helping athletes feel successful, supported, and excited to play.

Is this camp good for beginners?
Yes! This camp is intentionally designed for athletes who are new to softball or still learning the basics.
What if my athlete has never played before?
That’s perfectly okay. Many campers will be brand new. Coaches and players focus on teaching, encouraging, and helping each athlete feel comfortable and confident.
How are athletes grouped?
Campers are grouped by age and experience to ensure a positive and successful learning experience.
What should my athlete bring?
Glove (if they have one)
Bat/Helmet (we have extras!)
Water bottle
Athletic shoes or cleats
A great attitude and willingness to try
Is this a competitive camp?
No. This is a developmental, introductory camp focused on learning, fun, and building a love for the game.
